Across Wisconsin, energy costs are rising as utilities propose new investments, including additional methane gas plants to support growing demand from data centers. The Coalition is working to ensure that energy decisions prioritize affordability, transparency, and long-term benefits for communities across the state – because Wisconsin deserves a clean, reliable, and cost-effective energy future.

Tell the PSC to Reject We Energies' Rate Increase Proposal
We Energies is seeking a 14% residential electric rate increase by 2028. The utility’s proposal would increase the typical residential customer’s electric bill by $14.67 per month on January 1, 2027, and by an additional $8.69 per month on January 1, 2028.

Stop new gas plants for data centers
Invenergy is planning to build two expensive new methane gas plants to power data centers in Wisconsin, with the goal of selling them to We Energies.
The two proposed gas plants in southeastern Wisconsin – the Foundry Ridge project in Darien, Wisconsin and the Red Oak Ridge project proposal in Paris, Wisconsin — would have major health, environmental and energy-cost consequences for Wisconsin communities.
Wisconsin needs an integrated resource planning requirement and a strong clean energy standard so rising electricity demand is evaluated comprehensively, and met with the lowest-cost, cleanest clean energy resources.
